Ride2Work Day
Well the information has so far been fairly sparce. I have recieved a letter informing me that the Date has been set for the
NSW 2008 Ride2Work Day
and it is Wednesday 15th October
I will post edits and comments as more information becomes available closer to the date.
The contents of the letter…..
“….. now is a good time to start thinking about how you can promote Ride to Work activities within your workplace. In particular, you may want to:
- Place cycling maps and promotional materials about the environmental and health benefits of riding to work.
- Network with other cyclists about establishing your own workplace bike user group.
- Make an appointment to meet with your department Manager, HR Manager or Environmental Officer about developing a more cycle-friendly workplace and in promoting the National Ride to Work Day.
- Talk to your local council and other workplaces in your area about hosting a National Ride to Work Day Community Breakfast.
- Encourage more women to ride to work, by promoting Bicycle NSW’s upcoming ‘Gear up Girl Challenge’ (Sydney CBD only!!! as per usual with bicycle NSW) on March 8 2008 International Womens Day http://www.gearupgirl.com.au
