Quote " I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that" I have probably used that before, but it is too good to miss. OK Looked at the referenced site but A PICTURE IS WORTH A FEW WORDS - graphs and charts don't do it for me. So thanks for the bar pics. Posted by Guest Kevin

4T Fingers Computing Swell Size & Direction
Got some local News! Provide the Date and info and I'll put A CountDown Message Here

The Tweed Coast - Swell Size & Direction

Most of the Information found on this site is available on other sites, But here I have tried to gather in one place all that is locally relevant, available and as current as possible. If youu arived via search engine - Which is more than likely! The actual page you are looking for might not seem to be appropriate. I suggest you browse the other links on this site as they might provide you with more Approprate Information.

If any images are broken/not shown it is an off site problem that can only be fixed by trying again later

Waverider Bouy Tweed River Bar - Swell Size (Estimate)

Note: This is experimental. Script has been updated on the 2/01/2009 1:51:12 PM. Source Update Hourly on the ½hr but is 2hrs behind real time. It is based on a script that reads the pixels of the Tweed River (wave height plot) below HSIG: The average of the highest one third of the waves. The likely maximum wave height can be up to twice the significant wave height, occuring around 1 in 2000 waves.

The sites that I obtain the images and information from are all public access over the web, I do not create all the images! But I am trying to collect and display the Locally Relevant ones all in one place
They may not always be available as they rely upon the UTZ or GMT, and are updated according to their own timetables and for their own unique purposes. I would like to offer access to more Official BOM information but Australia's State (NSW especially) and Federal Governments in their wisdom, has made access to its collection of information, which is fully publically financed, to a user pays system except for Warnings and Old Data realtime data has very limited free access (see the Local Winds page). This is especially true with anything to do with coastal/marine information, ie Tide, Wave & Swell Data in Real Time is available, but at a cost....
