Gale Warning south of Smoky Cape. Strong Wind Warning north of Smoky Cape and
for Sydney Closed Waters.
Synoptic Situation:
A complex low pressure trough over the southern Tasman Sea directs a vigorous
west to southwest flow along the New South Wales coast. Over the weekend, winds
should gradually ease from the north as the low moves to the east and weakens
slowly.

Strong Wind Warning.
Friday until midnight:
Wind: W/SW 15/20 knots, reaching 25/33 knots chiefly
offshore.
Sea: 2 to 3 metres.
Swell: S/SE about 1 metre.
Saturday:
Wind: SW 20/25 knots reaching 25/33 knots early, chiefly offshore,
easing to 15/20 knots during morning.
Sea: 2.5 to 3.5 metres abating about 2
metres.
Swell: S 1.5 to 2 metres, reaching 3 metres offshore.
Sunday:
Wind: SW 10/20 knots easing.
